Pillai's Comprehensive College of Education & Research, New Panvel

Pillai's Comprehensive College of Education and Research was established in 2006 and offers the D.Ed. course. It is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

  Mission

To train students to be professional teachers and inculcate social and moral values in them.

  D.Ed. Course

The two-year D.Ed. course encourages students to participate and excel in various activities. The main objective of the course is to bring about all round development of student-teachers through value-based education.

  D.Ed. Examination

To pass the examination, a candidate must obtain 40% marks in each subject. He is allowed to appear for the exam only twice.

If the student fails in more than three subjects then he/she is considered as failed and will be retained in the first year till he/she clears the papers.

If he/she fails in less than three subjects then he/she is eligible for ATKT.

  Rules for D.Ed. Admissions to Marathi Medium

All rules and regulations regarding the selection of candidates for admission to the D.Ed. course in a College of Education as laid down by the Government of Maharashtra will apply. Students will also undergo an interview as specified by the Management Committee.

  Eligibility

A Higher Secondary Certificate of any Board from the state of Maharashtra with minimum 50% marks for Govt. quota; and for management quota, as prescribed by the Government. Students seeking admission should register their names through the centralised admission procedure.

  D.Ed. Placement Cell
