Pillai’s Polytechnic is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE); recognised by the Government of Maharashtra; and affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE).

  Admissions

All admissions are done by the college as per MSBTE and DTE admission norms.

 

  Eligibility

SSC Pass with 50% marks in Maharashtra State Board / Equivalent Exam

SSC Pass with 45% marks for Reserved category

HSC with 40% marks in Board examination / Equivalent with exemption in the following subjects:
  • Applied Physics

  • Engineering Mathematics

  • Communication Skills

  Direct Second Year Admission

HSC Pass with 50% with Technical Subjects to Diploma Course

ITI, ATS or MCVC Pass with First class

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Three Years Full Time)

Diploma in Computer Engineering (Three Years Full Time)

Diploma in Electronics Engineering (Three Years Full Time)

Diploma in Automobile Engineering (Three Years Full Time)

 

  Placement Cell

A dedicated training and placement department provides career guidance to all students. The Department regularly conducts soft skills workshops and company-specific tests and training programmes. A fully computerised state-of-the-art air-conditioned auditorium is available for conducting pre-placement presentations for corporate bodies.

Hardware Contest :  About 60 students from various Polytechnics participated
Software Contest :  About 50 students participated
Junkyard Wars :  About 120 students participated
 
  • Technophillia 2007 was inaugurated by C.H. Ravi, Deputy Director of Advanced Technical Institute Mumbai

  • Students of Mechanical, Electronics and Computer branches participated in Dipex 2007, a state level project exhibition held at Jalgaon

  • Students of TY Computer got the 3rd Prize for their project at Venture 2007 conducted by Bharathi Vidhyapeeth Polytechnic

  • Technophillia 2008
